Our Public Workshops are the heart of what we do—bringing people together to slow down, get creative, and make something meaningful with their own hands. These workshops are open to the public and hosted regularly throughout the Tampa / Odessa area. As a fully mobile DIY studio, we partner with a variety of local venues to serve as our “public workshop” locations, including clubhouses, community spaces, breweries, and other welcoming gathering spots. Each location adds its own charm, but the Hammer & Stain Tampa experience remains consistent wherever we go.

Most public workshops typically run 1.5 to 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to relax, learn, and complete your project without feeling rushed. Whether you come solo, with friends, or as part of a group night out, our workshops are designed to be approachable for all skill levels. No prior crafting experience is required—just a willingness to have fun and try something new.

Project Types & Creative Options

We offer a wide variety of rotating projects, organized into several main creative categories. Within each category, you’ll find multiple project designs and styles to choose from, allowing you to personalize your experience every time you attend:

• Seaglass – Coastal-inspired designs such as trees, artwork, and decorative pieces using beautiful seaglass elements
• Mosaics – Colorful, textured creations using glass, tiles, and mixed materials
• Wood – Painted, stained, or layered wood designs with seasonal and everyday options
• Resin Projects – Eye-catching pieces using liquid glass and resin techniques
• Floral – Botanical-inspired designs that blend creativity with natural elements
• Ceramics – Hand-crafted ceramic pieces with artistic finishes

Project availability and pricing vary by workshop and location, with prices set based on the project type, materials used, and level of detail.

The Workshop Experience

Our workshops are intentionally designed to feel relaxed, fun, and welcoming—a chance to unplug from screens and reconnect with creativity. We bring an upbeat, laid-back atmosphere with music playing, interactive moments, games, and occasional raffles to keep the energy light and engaging. Many locations offer snacks and drinks, either included with the workshop or available for purchase, depending on the venue and event type.

Most importantly, this is a space where creativity comes first. There is no pressure for perfection—just enjoyment, experimentation, and the satisfaction of creating something you’re proud to take home.

Registration & Planning

Advance registration is required for all public workshops. Because every project is prepared ahead of time—cut, packed, and staged specifically for each attendee—we are unable to accommodate walk-ins. Registering early ensures your materials are ready and allows us to deliver the best possible experience for everyone attending.
